Principal Consultant, Heath Frankel has 25 years experience in solution architecture, software design, development and integration of Digital Health Solutions.
Heath has a career-long interest in shared digital health records, electronic requesting, care planning and standards-based health information exchange. He has specialised in implementing HL7 FHIR APIs, openEHR data repositories and HL7 v2 messaging.
Heath has recently been a HL7 AU Connectathon track lead for FHIR SMART App Launch and helped develop and deliver FHIR Fundamentals for Australian Developers training. He has previously been a HL7 Australia Board member and represented Australia at HL7 International Working Group Meetings.
Heath has also contributed to the openEHR technical specifications, co-authored the Archetype Query Language and conceived the archetype driven development approach using Template Data Schema and Template Data Objects. He was previously a member of the openEHR Specification Editorial Committee.
Heath has provided health data standards, system integration, solution architecture and enterprise architecture consulting services for 20 years to Australian commonwealth, state and territory health departments, universities, health research institutes and health software companies.
As an independent Health Information Exchange Consultant, Heath is helping implement digital health solutions to realise better healthcare for people through the secure sharing of meaningful personal health data.
